Frequently Asked Questions

FAQs

Do you take insurance?

I am in network with Cigna. I can also provide superbills you can submit to your insurance company if you have out of network benefits.

How do I know if I have out-of-nework benefits?

Call your insurance company to ask. I recommend asking the following questions if you have them.

  1. What is my deductible and does it have to be met in order to receive reimbursement?

  2. Is preauthorization required to receive services?

  3. What is the reimbursement rate? (If they ask for codes you can give them 90791 for the initial assessment, 90834 for a 45 minute session, and 90837 for a 53-60 minutes session).

What is your fee for private pay?

$185.

Do you offer a sliding scale?

I have a limited number of sliding scale spots based on financial need.

What is your cancellation policy?

I require 24 hours notice if you need to cancel your appointment. If you do not cancel within the allotted time frame or do not show up for your appointment, you will be charged your full session fee.

How long are sessions?

Sessions are generally 50-55 minutes long.

Do you offer in-person or telehealth appointments?

I am able to offer sessions both in person in Boca Raton, Florida, and virtually throughout the state of Florida. I am following all state guidelines regarding Coronavirus; your safety is my priority.

How often do we have to meet and how long will I be in therapy?

Ideally, sessions would take place weekly for at least the first 4-6 sessions as we work on building a relationship. Frequency of sessions depends on the severity of the issue and any financial considerations. Those seeking EMDR would benefit from weekly sessions consistently. Length of therapy also depends on what you are coming into therapy for. Each person comes with their own unique experiences and circumstances so it is difficult to give a general answer regarding length of time.

I’ve been thinking about therapy for a long time, I just don’t know if I really need it…

Everyone needs help now and then. It is a part of being human. Coming to therapy can give you a safe place to explore and sort out some things that you have been struggling with.
